1st stop is Deir el Qamar village: Deir El Qamar, also known as the convent of the moon, is an old village located in the Chouf region, consisting of stone houses with red tiled roof. Enjoy the great panoramic views and fresh air. Explore the square of Deir el Qamar as well as the beautifully restored Christian church, municipal building (Turkish Architecture) and old Emir palace.
2nd stop: Beiteddine Village: Located in the mountains of Lebanon, in the Chouf area, Beiteddine Palace was owned by the emirs of the Chehab family that ruled over the Chouf region in the 19th century. The Emirs Palace is still standing perfectly until today. It is the symbol of the Lebanese architecture. The Palace has stunning architecture and is surrounded by breathtaking views. It is hosting a large collection of Mosaïc. It is well maintained, with majestic rooms and former stables. This is definitely a palace with an eye for ‘grandeur’ that was shown during the era when they ruled over the region.

The castle was built on a hill between Deir El Kamar and Beiteddine – Lebanon, with the beliefs and ideas of its builder engraved on its stones. The castle was built by Moussa Al Maamari who was born on July 27, 1931. His idea of building a castle began when he was only 14 years old to impress a local girl he loved. The castle includes structures of old Lebanese people representing the authentic Lebanese life and culture.
