St Charbel , Byblos

The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel in Beirut, on any place of residence within Beirut city.

1st stop: Byblos city: Located in North of Beirut, Byblos, also known as Jbeil, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Byblos is an important touristic site in Lebanon. It is listed as a World Heritage Site. The city is a stunning collection of archaeological sites, one of which is Byblos Castle built in 12th century by the Crusaders. Like all archeological sites in Lebanon, Byblos castle received a chain of culture and heritage. It is a great place to experience the various civilizations who passed through the city from the Phoenicians, to Assyriens, crusades and others. The castle is connected to a medieval harbor, and old souks, so you can get a multi-faceted experience and a taste of everything that Byblos has to offer.

2nd stop: Saint Charbel Annaya : Saint Charbel is known locally and internationally for his many miracles til this date. The old St. Maroun church lower level holds his clothes, tombs (new and old), his family statues, letters sent to the monastery from all over the world, souvenir places… Very spiritual with the nature surrounding, calm. It is an outstanding experience one has to undergo by walking from his cell up in the mountain to reach the church.

Then we will get back to Beirut, and drop you off at your hotel.
