Jeita, Harissa , Baatara

The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel in Beirut, on any place of residence within Beirut city.

1st stop is Jeita Grotto: Discover one of the most impressive and interesting natural sites, listed among the Seven Wonders of the World.
Jeita Grotto is located north of Beirut on the slopes of Mount Lebanon. One of Lebanon’s most unusual tourist attractions, an enormous cavern festooned with every shape and size of stalactite and stalagmite. It is the jewel of tourism in Lebanon, offering to its visitors qualified modern services in harmony with a fascinating nature. It creates a magical trip which enables to spend a day of wonder-filled adventure by being carried away from a tangible world to a wonderland where are found two fabulous grottoes full of unimaginable beauty of a magical fascination!

2nd stop is Harissa, Our Lady of Lebanon: Located 600 m above the sea, and overlooking Jounieh coastline, stand the statue of the virgin Mary, also known as “Our Lady of Lebanon”. The giant white Virgin of Lebanon with outstretched arms can be reached by a staircase that wind around the top of the building. A magical panoramic view of Jounieh bay will take your breath away! You can experience the cable-car from Jounieh to Harissa, to enjoy the fascinating views from the wide sky.

3rd stop: Baatara Pothole (Balouh Balaa) : Baatara waterfall, also known Balou’ Bala’a, is an extraordinary sight. It was ‘discovered’ by Henri Coiffait in 1952 and was fully mapped out in the 1980s, at which point it was known as the Cave of Three Bridges.The Gorge has 3 natural bridges connecting it from side to side. Little creek falls into a massive ‘sinkhole’ of 255 meters depth. Parts of the walls of that round ‘sinkhole’ has eroded into three natural bridges, stacked on top of each other.
You must visit the site in winter or Spring, as it may not be water in other seasons.

Then we will get back to Beirut, and drop you off at your hotel.
