Tripoli, Byblos

The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel in Beirut, on any place of residence within Beirut city.

1st stop: Byblos city: Located in North of Beirut, Byblos, also known as Jbeil, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Byblos is an important touristic site in Lebanon. It is listed as a World Heritage Site. The city is a stunning collection of archaeological sites, one of which is Byblos Castle built in 12th century by the Crusaders. Like all archeological sites in Lebanon, Byblos castle received a chain of culture and heritage. It is a great place to experience the various civilizations who passed through the city from the Phoenicians, to Assyriens, crusades and others. The castle is connected to a medieval harbor, and old souks, so you can get a multi-faceted experience and a taste of everything that Byblos has to offer.

2nd stop: Tripoli City: Located in North of Lebanon, Tripoli is the largest city in northern Lebanon and the second-largest city in the country.
Beach use of the large proportion of remaining and intact Ottoman era buildings, Tripoli is a great sightseeing destination in Lebanon.
Visit the citadel of Saint Gilles, one of the well-preserved castles in Lebanon and one of the biggest… Its location is magnificent. Enter from the horses big door and start your walk and re-imaging the active life back in time. Full of glory, different style of architect, and a diversity in periods. From the Mamluks to the Ottomans. When you arrive to the roof top, you can have a view extended over the city to the Mediterranean sea and North mountains from the other side.
After the Citadel you can walk in few minutes to the old Souks, the Hamams, the Mosques, the Khans, the old part of Tripoli where history has his own stamps.
Don’t forget to taste some sweets from the Hallab, a famous sweets shop in Lebanon.
Visit also El Mina, a port of the ancient city of Tripoli that dates back to the Phoenician era.

Then we will get back to Beirut, and drop you off at your hotel.
